Why Choose Pratian for Training?

Pratian was founded by three technocrats with more than three decades of collective experience in the field of corporate IT training industry. Although today, Pratian has grown beyond the three individuals, the whole organization benefits from the collective experience. This immense experience and understanding of learning needs of knowledge workers has provided Pratian with a unique edge in designing and delivering high-end technology training solutions. At Pratian, we achieve a very high return on your investment in training by laying emphasis on three key areas :

  • Instructors
  • Methodology
  • Instructional Design
Instructors
Our instructors are highly acclaimed for their knowledge of the subject. Our instructors and course designers are "programmers first", each bringing years of professional development experience to our team, and more importantly, into your classroom. Our unique consultative approach to learning ensures that the students receive benefits well beyond what exists in the training manual, each and every time. All our instructors and course designers have years of hands on experience in their respective fields. In addition, from time to time, they take a sabbatical from their training activities to participate in cutting edge software development. So, when they train your team of developers, you can be sure that you are hearing from the horse's mouth". We at Pratian also strive to ensure that each of our technical team members is certified in their respective area of specialization.

All instructor bios & live referrals are available upon request.

Methodology
Even the brightest of the instructor can go horribly wrong if he fails to adopt right methods. At Pratian , as much emphasis is laid on the methodology to ensure effectiveness of the training.

The four key components of our methodology are assessment, training, reinforcing the concepts and validating the knowledge.

Assess:
The Assess component initiates the learning process by helping students and companies identify training objectives, and then help determine what type of training is required to meet those goals. By assessing needs at the beginning of the learning lifecycle, students and corporate decision-makers are able to identify and choose the right solutions to maximize their training investment. Assessments establish learning goals and measure the effectiveness of a training program, thereby proving the value of training. A pre-assessment of skill-levels identifies knowledge gaps so that training needs can be mapped to objectives. A post-assessment verifies that the required skill-level has been attained.

Train:
This component ensures that training objectives are met. Pratian instructors are equipped with not just cutting edge technical skills but also effective communication skills and intuitive audio-visual presentations. Our training sessions are always highly interactive rather than being a mere one-way talk from the instructor. Because the sessions highly interactive, students tend to learn more effectively and all the doubts get clarified.

Reinforce:
Most adult learners require three study methods or resources to retain the highest percentage of information. As part of our learning methodology, Pratian provides reinforcement tools to increase retention of the topics covered and advance the learning process.

To enhance the learning experience, various learning tools are employed in addition to the lecture by the instructor. These include live demonstrations, solved examples, guided exercises and more.

Validate:
At the end of every learning event, it is important for the learners and training managers to be sure that the training objectives are met and the investment of time, money and effort on learning has yielded sufficient returns.

Through ongoing unit-end quizzes, the learners can continually track their progress. A post-assessment verifies that the required skill-level has been attained. In addition, in many training sessions, a complete case study is implemented end-to-end by the learner, further validating the learning and providing an additional level of confidence for the learner.

Instruction Design

Each course is designed by a 'Course Architect', who sets the agenda and the scope of the course. The course architect is a person with immense industry experience in the relevant technology area. A team of highly skilled course developers then go about making the courseware in an 'objective-driven' fashion. It is taken care that the presentation not only contains the required content but also has maximum visual impact. The examples and exercises aptly enable the students to understand and apply the concept being taught. The case studies are designed to resemble real world problems. In all, the courseware packs as much punch as the instructor.

The overall approach of our instruction design involves the following : High impact presentation, solved examples, live demos, guided exercises and an optional end-to-end case study.
